BE STRONG IN THE LORD.

Image
Ephesians 6:10,11 10.  "Finally, my brethren, BE STRONG IN THE LORD, and in the power of his might.  11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Understand that the phrase: "Be strong in the Lord," is neither a suggestion nor an advice, but a standing order from the Lord Jesus Christ to His Church. And you are the Church if you are a believer in Christ Jesus. Now, you don't have to flex your muscles in the natural, nor put on a religious show to prove that you are strong. It's not about being strong in yourself, but it's about being strong in God's Word to a point where nothing, and no one could dissuade you from the firm conviction that you have in God's Word. You don't entertain any dialogue with the devil. Your motto is "...Let God be true, but every man a liar..." (Rom. 3:4). God's Word is the final authority in your life. In that way, you cannot be easily swayed, neither by ma...

GROWING STRONG IN FAITH.

Image
Romans 4:19,20 19. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body... 20.   He (Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was srong in faith, giving Glory to God. The Bible says that Abraham was  "strong in faith." He "gave Glory to God" in the midst of a prevailing negative situation when there was no reason for him to do so. It was at a time when all hope was lost, and there seems to be no end in sight to the prolong state of barrenness that himself and Sarah were engulfed in. Abraham grew strong in faith because he is highly developed in the art of "giving God Glory" or praising Him in the amidst of life's toughest challenges. It was a habit that he developed overtime. He was "...fully persuaded that, what he (God) had promised, he was able also to perform" (Rom. 4:21). Strong faith isn't built overnight, strong faith is developed overtime. It takes time to come to a place where you become fully est...

WORLD OVERCOMING FAITH.

Image
"...Everyone Who is born from God has overcome the world. OUR FAITH IS THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD." (1 JOHN 5:4 ISV). "... Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, WILL HE FIND FAITH on earth?" (LUKE 18:8). Everyone who is born of God or born again, has within them an inborn potentiality to be an overcomer in life. We are not trying to be overcomers; we are overcomers! That's who we are, we are born that way. At the new birth, God "...dealt (or apportioned) to every man the measure of faith" (Rom. 12:3). It is up to the individual to develop their own faith to a level where they can become world overcomers for God!                 TWO KINDS OF FAITH.  Short Term Faith And Long Term Faith The short term faith is an intimidated faith. It believes God for the time being, provided situations are favourable, but the next minute it comes crashing down the moment the heat is on! Jesus said, "Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, ...

HOLD FAST TO THE CONFESSION OF YOUR FAITH.

Image
"Let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) ( Hebrews 10:23) The word profession in this verse of scripture also means confession. We are told to hold fast or hold firmly, the confession of our faith in God our Heavenly Father without wavering or without being swayed unsteadily to and fro by the winds of adversity. To confess means "to say the same thing," or "to admit." Confessing God's Word is admitting that God's Word is true regardless of contradictory circumstances. Confessing God's Word on a regular basis is not an alternative, but an ultimatum if you must continue in faith. "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but that shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Joshua 1:8). We are to meditate, mutter or s...

LIVING SENSIBLY.

Image
Luke 10: 38-42. 38. Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. 40. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42. But one thing is needful; and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.  Mordern life has introduced incredible busyness. A Christian could be so engrossed in the everyday busyness of life to the detriment of their spiritual lives! In Luke chapter 10 Jesus visited the home of Martha. Martha was so attuned to all the things that has to be done that she failed to be sensible or pay attention to one thing that is needful. Howev...

BOLD CONFESSIONS OF FAITH.

Image
Hebrews 13:5,6 5. ...For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6. So that WE MAY BOLDLY SAY (Confess),The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.  To "Confess" means to "Say the same thing" as regards to what God has already said about you. It means to agree with God in your testimony. It's a bold assertion, affirmation or declaration of who you are in Christ according to God's Word. E. W. Kenyon said, "Many Christians are weak though they are sincere, because they have never dared to make a bold confession of who they are in Christ." Kenneth E. Hagin also said, "Testimony or confession is a vital part of the the Christian life. The more you talk about who you are, and what you have in Christ, the more real He becomes to you." A bold confession of faith is also an expression of your absolute confidence in Almighty God, and His ability to do what He says that He will do according to His Word. Co...

THE RESURRECTED LIFE.

Image
Ephesians 2:6 NET And he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 1:21,22 NET 21. Far above every rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22. And God put all things under Christ's feet, and he gave him to the church as head over all things. The resurrection is the foundation stone of Christianity. There is no Christianity without the Cross and the Resurrection. The one thing that distinguishes Christianity from all religions of the world is the resurrection. An elderly, and well respected Gospel Minister once said, "every religion had a founder who lived and died and was buried; but Christianity has a Founder who lived, died, was buried, and rose again." Hallelujah! Let that sink. The empty tomb attests to the fact about Jesus' resurrection.  Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is the expression of the God-kind of Life, and t...
